Autumn News 2015
Dear Church
September is here, School has started and together, we start another academic year of life together.
We have a friend who is living in Berlin and part of her renting contract is that she should open all the windows in her room and air the room. Whenever we had an ICF meeting in a german’s house, they would always open the windows whatever the weather was outside and freeze the small group! The new air, usually freezing, clears the room of the old stuffy air, sleepy people and brings a freshness, energy and crispness. The eldership feel that our current season is a bit like this: We’ve open the windows and we are waiting for the Holy Spirit to breathe fresh air and life into our situation. We are waiting, praying and being patient and seeking what God is doing
This term we will be looking Joshua and seeing how together we can enter into the promises that God has given us.
One of the big changes this year will be the introduction of “Vendeg Vasárnap”. Once a month we will host a special service, which will be ideal for you to bring guests to church. The idea is that we will create a space where people who don’t usually come to church will feel comfortable and not too weirded out! We will change the layout and format of church. There will be lots of nice cake and coffee too. This is an experiment and we will improve the format with time so please be patient and invite people to come :)
Also, communions time will become more “family times”. These will be the time for extended ministry, prayer and worship. It will be “church for church” time.
We will also be looking at Jesus the returning King in Advent and our special guest-friendly Christmas service will be on the 20th December. Please come in fancy dress.
Please support us with prayer and bringing along friends/family - This term should be good fun
With Love
The eldership
