Sion

Hi Church

I’m planning on writing to the church every three or so months just to talk about things going on in the next few months and how they work with our vision.

Our house is currently being renovated and it is chaos. Workers come and go at all times of the day; Samm and I are currently living in ½ a room; it is noisy and everything has a thick layer of dust over it. We’ve changed how we use some rooms, we’ve had to remove some old wiring and put in new furniture/cables which suit our needs. There are also unforeseen problems which have to be addressed. It can be be depressing, tiring and expensive but the thought and vision of a beautiful home maintains and sustains us.

I think this picture is a good image of how the next few months are going to be for Sion. We’re in the process of change, Botond and Sarolta are moving into different areas of ministry and the Eldership will take over the responsibilities of organising Church. This is a time which could be messy, unorganised and a bit random. Maybe things will be changed round a little and bit different. We will try new things, some will not work, but please bear with us as we try to build up Sion and its members. Our big plan is that we will spend the summer planning, organising, resting and sorting out teething issues so that we can start the academic term in September with a bang :)

Maybe over the summer read the book of Joshua - It is an interesting book where the Israeli nation take (or not) the promised land. I feel that we are at the side of the Jordan ready to cross over into land. There will be things we do by ourselves and others we do collectively.
